Here’s more proof that when you choose a “quick house sale” company you need to choose wisely.

“My parents currently own a 1 bed flat and due to my dads illness he can no longer get upstairs so they decided to sell because of the current market we thought we would use one of these sell it fast companys (not sure if i can name them on here) but really wish we didn’t they sent us a formal offer at 1st for 37,500 which we thought was a reasonable offer compared to the current market we accepted the offer they advised us that it would need to go to an underwriter and if there were any changes we would know with in 24 hours.
Surely enough they called and said they had looked at propertys in our area and reduced the offer to 24k i couldn’t belive it nearly a 13k drop but as we were desparate we accepted i asked the lady if the price would be dropping anymore she said no they are very confident that that would be the price so we both instructed solicitors they gave us 28 days to exchange contracts which the deadline was last tue my parents solicitors were ready to excahnge on that tue yet their solicitors would not respond via tel or email all day causing it to go over 28 days on the wed they phoned my mum and advised they have droped the offer again to 20k and that they had been trying to contact my mum for days which is rubbish she has had no calls so beware everyone do not deal with these companies, they take advantage of your situation and dont give a damn about you. They try and squezze every last penny out of you they also promise to pay your legal fees if you excahnge with in 28 days but this is a con too as they keep raising enquiries untill the 28th day then dont answer the phone so you haven’t got a prayer in completing with in 28 days!!!”
