Hi,
I only just found your website and wonder whether you can tell me if the quick home buyer company I’m with is reputable?
I have sold my property to the homebuyers subject to contract.
I had to sign an assignable option agreement to buy my house on 13th Aug and the option period was until 13th Oct.
Now that the option to buy has expired, I can now go with another purchaser or look at other options if I wish as they haven’t exercised the option to buy during the option period?
They are paying for my solicitors costs (a solicitor they recommended though) and paid for the survey.
I instructed the conveyancer to sell the property on my behalf in Sep.
To give you an idea how far things have progressed:
I have since filled in a fixtures and lettings list, answered queries relating to the lease and flat, then I had
to answer further supplemental enquiries such as any claims that have been made on buildings insurance etc, if I know if the the property has any problems, ie subsidence etc. Also, filled in details on electricity and gas supplier, water supply etc.
My solicitor received my answers to the supplemental enquiries on Thursday 25th Sep and was in the process of typing my responses the last time I spoke with her on that date.
I kind of expected a quick sale but things are moving quite slowly, in my opinion as it is over 2 months now since I first signed the agreement with the buyer.
Does this sound like a reputable way to do business?
Can give me an alternative recommendation (in case the above sale does fall through).
I think that my house is worth about £100k. It was on the market at 114,950 initially. Currently on
the market with an estate agent, offers over 105k. Also, the property has been on the market since June.
I want to move to a brand new property now which has regular maintenance as I have paid off my mortgage on this property now. I have made an offer on a new flat but if I don’t sell my property quickly it will mean that sale will fall through.
I really need a quick sale – within one month would be ideal.
Hope you can answer some of my questions.
Thanks,
Paul
